Cell handling systems for the solar industry
XENON has been active in photovoltaics since 2005. As a mechanical engineering company, we offer ourselves as a supplier of fully automated equipment. Our customers are solar plants or equipment manufacturers.
The range of services for the photovoltaic industry includes the construction of standardized modules as single machines, the development of automation solutions for novel and innovative processes as well as the planning and realization of complete production sections.
XENON offer automation solutions for a wide range of tasks along the value chain of a solar module. Our references range from wafer production to silicon recycling and back-end processes for the manufacture of thin-film solar modules.
Continous R&D efforts make us a driver of solar innovation – contributing to plan, develop and realize your euqipment for the next product generation.

An inexhaustible source – HOW IT WORKS
When sunlight hits the solar cell, the electrons in the cell are excited so that they move. Inside the cell, an interaction takes place between the incident sunlight and the doped semiconductor of the solar cell.
In this simple process, electrical charge carriers, so-called electrons, are released. This causes current to flow, which is dissipated by metal contacts on both sides of the cell. The current generated in this way is then transported further into the house via a power cable.
We only have to capture 1/10,000th of the solar energy landing on earth to completely satisfy all our energy needs.
