Your Tasks

As a Design Engineer (f/m/d) at our site in Suzhou (People's Republic of China) you will be responsible for the design and construction of special machines and assembly systems.

• 3D modelling and creation of 2D drawings, parts lists, etc.
• Conception and construction of customer-specific assembly and testing machines
• Support of workshops for troubleshootings during the assembly period
• Acting as a sales and project engineer to assist in the technical evaluation of projects prior to sale
• Preparation of relevant technical documents of projects, such as operating manuals, introductions, service documentations
• Participation in the conception and discussion of new customer projects
• Responsibility for machine safety
• Support of the purchasing department in the search for suppliers and in discussing the technical feasibility with the supplier and confirming the corresponding technical parameters
• Support of the warehouse and quality control departments to check the material quality for projects

Your Qualifications

• Successfully completed studies (bachelor’s degree or above) in automation technology, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, manufacturing/industrial engineering or a comparable field of study
• Several years of professional experience in the field of customized automation machinery
• Practical experience in mechanical design theories (positioning, guidance, transmission) and automation machinery standard components/system selections
• Applicable knowledge of the English language in speaking and writing
• Safe handling of 3D-CAD systems (Creo Elements/preferably Direct)
• Ability to design feasible and creative machine concepts and to solve the open point list in a debugging phase
• Knowledge of automation machinery material, heat treatment processes and technology modules (e.g. vision system, ultrasonic welding, etc.)
• Systematic, solution-oriented approach in the processing of development tasks
• High degree of initiative, strong sense of responsibility and independent working style
• Good teamwork spirit and service consciousness, strong communication skills
